Tara Petti Appointed New CEO of The Southern Network of Care

Winnipeg: February 9th, 2017 | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On behalf of the Southern First Nations Network of Care , Chair Allan Courchene is pleased to announce the appointment of Tara Petti as CEO. For the past year Tara has served as the Acting CEO of the Network.

“Tara brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Network,” says Courchene. “As the acting CEO, she has been instrumental in moving the organization forward with strategic planning, board development, communications,  and relationship building.”

Tara Petti has been with the Network for the the past 10 years and for 9 of those years served as the Director of Quality Assurance/Vision Keepers. Prior to the Network, Tara was employed with two First Nation Agencies.  Tara has a Masters of Social Work Degree and she is a member of the Peguis First Nation. She presently resides in the city of Winnipeg with her husband and 4 children.

“During this critical time of change I look forward to working with the Southern Chiefs Organization, our new Board, our management team and staff,  and with our Agencies, to move forward with the Network’s mandate and mission,” says Petti.

Moving forward the SFNNC has developed a strategy that will build upon its solid cultural foundation and realign it’s activities to focus on building relationships in the future.

“On behalf of the Board we would like to thank former CEO, Bobbi Pompana, for all of her hard work and contributions,” says Courchene. “Bobbi has decided to take an early retirement due to ongoing medical reasons. We would like to wish her well in her retirement and future endeavours.”
